The Twist Lock Adapter for Telescope SCT Threads is a nifty little telescope accessory. ScopeStuff’s new 1.25″ Twist Lock Adapter locks with a twist, holding 1.25″ eyepieces and accessories securely. Very well centered and aligned, the adapter’s 0.6″ wide compression band solves problems caused by safety recesses found on some eyepieces and accessories.
For smaller scopes that have small optical paths and don’t benefit from larger adapters, the adapter is a low profile and high-quality visual back for attaching eyepieces, diagonals, cameras, etc. It fits the back of SCTs that have male 2″ diameter threads. Removing the twist ring exposes male T-threads, so these adapters double as a sturdy T-thread adapter.
The adapters weigh 4.5 oz and are CNC machined offering an anodized aluminum body and lock ring, graphite-nylon compression ring.. They include a 1.25″ plug.
Scopestuff #ADP8 is the version that fits the back of 90, 102, 127, 150 and 180mm Orion and SkyWatcher Maksutov-Cassegrains with 44.5mm male threads. Scopestuff #ADP9 is the version that fits the back of Meade ETX models with 34.5mm male threads.
