New Celestron Soft Cases are now available to help amateur astronomers make trips to the field easier. Celestron recently has introduced new stylish, padded, protective soft cases for telescopes and optical tubes.
40” and 36” Padded Telescope Soft Cases
Optical tube in one hand and tripod in the other? Still carrying your bulky telescope box to remote observing sites? Celestron can help lighten the load. Available in 40” and 36” sizes, these telescope soft cases offer an all-in-one storage solution that is the perfect choice for transporting your telescope setup anywhere.
The Celestron telescope soft cases are constructed from 900 denier polyester for durability and weather resistance with walls that are lined with 16mm thick EPE foam to protect your gear. The bottom panel is reinforced with a hard layer of PVC for extra protection from minor bumps. On the exterior, you’ll find hard rubber elements that provide extra strength and water resistance.
Unzip the cases and you’ll find a soft polyester interior lining with three configurable EVA foam padded walls. Use the Velcro to place the foam walls in the exact configuration you need for your equipment, creating custom compartments for your optical tube, mount, and tripod. Once your equipment is stowed safely inside, secure it in place with the internal straps. With shorter tubes, you’ll have some leftover interior space to stash extra accessories.
In addition to the configurable compartments inside, the cases offer a bonus 9” x 12” padded accessory bag and an external zippered pocket, for holding eyepieces and other accessories. Lastly, you’ll find sewn-on fabric loops on the outside of the case. Use these to clip even more accessories to the exterior of the case.
Padded Telescope Soft Cases for 11”, 9.25” and 8” Optical Tubes
These soft cases are the perfect way to safely transport telescopes optical tubes. Like the padded soft cases discussed earlier, these optical tube soft cases are constructed from 900 denier polyester for durability and weather resistance as well as offering wall lined with 16mm thick EPE foam to protect your optical tube.
Inside the cases you’ll find a soft polyester interior lining with adjustable straps to hold your optical tube firmly in place. Multiple zippers allow for easy packing and removal of the optical tube. The cases also offer a hidden external zipper pocket to hold eyepieces and other accessories. They are designed with cinching straps to firm up the pocket when in use and to hide it when empty. The interiors have one sewn in cinching strap to hold the optical tube firmly in place.
