The Orion 120mm Guide Scope Rings can help you enjoy greater success with deep-sky astrophotography endeavors with a first-class ring-and-clamp system for your guide scope. The Orion 120mm Guide Scope Rings offers dual-width clamps providing a solid and versatile mounting system for guide scopes ranging from 65mm to 115mm in outside tube diameter.
The anodized 15mm-wide aluminum rings have a 120mm (4.7″) inside diameter and each is outfitted with three plastic-tipped, 35mm-length metal screws with large knurled heads that allow you to quickly adjust the aim of your guide scope. The plastic tips provide a sure grip on the scope and prevent marring of its surface. These rings are ideal for an 80mm guide scope, and can comfortably accommodate guide scopes with tube diameters from 65mm to 110mm.
Each guide scope ring is mounted on a riser block, which is in turn attached to a machined, black-anodized aluminum dovetail clamp that sports two grooves to accommodate either Vixen or Losmandy style dovetail plates. Each clamp has a large knurled aluminum knob to make installing and locking down the clamp easy. The clamps expand by internal spring action when the lock knob is loosened. All edges on the clamps and rings are beveled for a professional appearance and more comfortable handling.
Each ring and clamp assembly comes fully assembled. The Orion 120mm Guide Scope Rings set includes two complete ring and clamp assemblies. Weight is 28.5 oz. per set.
