Yes, you read that right, it’s a Revolution Imager Fine Finger Feather Focuser. At ATT, we love a cool, handy new product. And if you add alliteration to it, we are all in!
All kidding aside, the team at Revolution Imager has come up with a nifty tool that provides an easy and more accurate way to focus your Celestron or Meade Maksutov and Cassegrain telescopes. Simply press the Fine Finger Feather Focuser lever on your SCT or Mak focusing knob to give you an even smoother feel than what you are accustomed to as well as making it easier to precisely focus.
When not in use, the lever has a built in 1.25″ Dust Cover cap to store at the back of the telescope or in your eyepiece tray when not in use – another handy little feature.
The tool comes in three sizes: Celestron Regular which fits their 4″ Mak, 5″, 6″,8″ and 9.25″ SCT; Celestron Large which fits their 11″ and 14″ SCT; and Meade SCT which fits their SCT telescopes.
The Revolution Imager Fine Finger Feather Focuser is priced at $19.99 – inexpensive enough to buy one for yourself and one for an observing buddy. And as the Revolution Imager team says on their website, “Give me a lever and I will move the world, or find tack sharp focus on nebula” – Archimedes (…well if he was into Astrophotography he would have said it!).
